Welcome, fellow citizens of the cloud! Workday Rising opened in Las Vegas on Tuesday morning with a keynote address from Workday Chairman, Co-Founder, and Co-CEO Aneel Bhusri, and Co-Founder and Co-CEO Dave Duffield:

During his opening session, Aneel announced two new offerings, "New Workday Recruiting Application To Transform Talent Acquisition" and "Workday Unveils Big Data Analytics For HR and Finance":

We captured the moment when prospect Rebecca Sutton, CFO for the City of Orlando, Florida, joined Dave on stage to become the newest Workday customer. Also, Scott Spradley, VP and CIO of Global Functions at HP, shared with the Rising audience some of the things he values in Workday:

Customers left the keynote energized and ready for a great Day 1 of Rising. We caught Mark Martin, HR director at Direct Line Group, and C.J. Boss,  VP of HR Operations at GameStop, and asked about their favorite moments in the keynote:

Today marks Day 2 from Rising. We'll have more to share, so watch this space!
